1-Minute Dailies: Series I
2-98

Welcome to the series on personal development for leaders.

Each day you will receive a short microcast like this in your email and you might want to drop them in a separate folder, but whatever you do — read them daily, your benefits will be greatly enhanced. There is a reason, and that is due to your subconscious mind being able to work on things, over time, fitting things together, making it easier to connect the dots and filling up your database with ideas that matter.

Before we get started with these simple, daily microcasts, I need to impress upon you one thing and one thing only: micro amounts of time invested daily: COMPOUND.

About 2 decades ago I developed a simple formula for leaders.

2-98

Like the Pareto Principle which says: “…for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.” — Wikipedia

In leadership, and in personal development, 2% of the time you invest in personal development will cause 98% of your EFFECT.

24 hours = 1440 x .02 = 28.8 minutes a day invested in development.

Every 24 hours you get deposited 28.8 minutes for development.  When you use this time wisely, you will be amazed at how your developmental efforts assimilate into influential EFFECT.

Invest 2% of your time wisely,

Mike R Jay, Developmentalist
