Into the Eye of the Storm
My LAI Story

If you’re not sure about using AI, come with me.
I can help you save time, get better at what you do, and show you how to succeed — even when the world feels a little upside-down.
I believe the best way to learn is to share the journey with others.

How It Started
About 20 years ago, when I was coaching in another country, I wrote a question on a hotel notepad:
“What happens if computers start learning faster than leaders?”

I stuck that note in a drawer and forgot about it — until 2023, when AI suddenly exploded in popularity.

Most people weren’t ready for it.

Opening the Drawer
I decided to share my AI journey in public — my notes, mistakes, experiments, everything — through my LAI Process at @LeadU.

When we share what we learn, everyone moves forward faster.

First Failures
My first live AI demo using GPT-3 was a disaster — wrong answers, wrong tone.

But I showed it anyway.

Others told me: “Seeing you mess up made me feel okay to start.

How We Learned
We broke down what went wrong using a simple loop:

  • PING – Get insights
  • PROBE – Question assumptions
  • PROMPT – Ask for better action
  • PERMIT – Let stories happen
  • PERTURB – Shake up old habits
  • PAUSE – Take a breath
  • PACE – Make changes step-by-step
This routine became our main way to improve.

Finding Purpose
We created the PRIME Algorithm:
Skills + Purpose-Connected Goals + Work Energy = Smart Actions

When you work with a clear purpose, even average ideas get better.
Your notes turn into a map for why you do what you do.
Like Nietzsche said: “Those who have a why can handle almost any how.”

Choosing Tools Wisely
I stopped chasing every flashy new app.

Instead, I check if it matches my guide:
Attention · Relationships · Intention · Alignment · Helping

If a tool doesn’t fit those, I skip it.

Cutting Out Noise
I focus on what’s important instead of everything possible.
That keeps my work clear and on track.

Letting AI Speak
Soon, everyone in the group started sharing their own discoveries, each in their own style.
The excitement spread — we learned by doing, not just by talking.

Why We Do This
I tell every new group:
We’re not trying to catch up to machines. We’re here to teach them how to notice what matters.”

If this sounds like your kind of journey, grab a notebook, jump in, and let’s learn how to guide AI — one smart question at a time.

In the process we will become better leaders, coaches, parents, managers, friends. Visit HERE to get started.
