[ABCs] D: Intro: Yours, Mine & Ours
LeadU SK+ L&LI Microcasts:
A daily 1+ minute “conscious” read.
Create A Brief Bio
For relationship purposes… we are going to ask everyone to prepare a personal leader bio so you can introduce yourself when the program starts with our face-to-face meetup in San Antonio, Texas.
It’s a good idea to follow some type of advice for creating a personal introduction. I found this one I liked because the examples are excellent.

Here’s the draft of one I’m writing for myself for this program:
Hi, my name is Michael Robert Jay. I’m named after two US Marines whose families shared the same married military group housing with my parents when I was born in 1952 during the Korean War… but I’m known as Mike. I was fortunate to also serve as a US Marine during the Vietnam War without having to go into combat and after playing football for the Quantico Marines… attend Texas A&M University on a football scholarship after an “early-out” in 1973 winning the AGGIE Heart AWARD in my senior season, 1975. I finished with a BS degree in Animal Science and have appreciated the broad base of pre-vet science education that I’ve relied on to help me discover my own self-knowledge bias and to help me design leadership programs that serve people around the globe… nudging me to become more self-aware. I passed 10,000 hours as a professional coach in 2002 and once coached a pair of Oligarchs across the street from the Russian White House in Moscow. I’ve trained coaches from 45 different countries and written numerous books, articles, and white papers: being a Credit Human Member since 2007.
That’s a first draft that I had fun with, and it might raise a few eyebrows in the process 😉
Now try writing yours and send it to us at
leadwise99@icloud.com for posting on our group website when you’re ready. No hurry, we will ask for these the week before our first meeting.
Mike
