[ABCs] S: Strengths (Talents)
LeadU SK+ L&LI Microcasts:
A daily 1+ minute “conscious” read.
The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment was created under the leadership of educational psychologist Donald Clifton. He wanted to identify the skills of the best of the best of the best, and to capitalize on them. Thus the StrengthsFinder assessment, a revolutionary tool for measuring talents, was first introduced to the world.
The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment helps identify the areas where you (or team if being used in that context) have the greatest potential for building strength.
It measures recurring patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior.
From your assessment you will receive your top five signature themes in ranked order. Knowing your top five themes is just the starting point; researching what they mean and attending various workshops can then help individuals, teams and organizations leverage their Talents, and turn them into sustainable Strengths.
While all the models in the SK+ Portfolio are important models of PSSs, Strengths are incredibly powerful for design work that is geared to developing our inborn talents while reaching our humaning potential and subsequent happiness.
