TPOVs @F-L-O-W
@F-L-O-W Apps
"Without them, we can’t fund the
design gap, or the third space… and without them, we can’t
run the BSOS, and without them, we can’t manage the bridging
that needs to occur between
BS and
@F-L-O-W.
Making the case for @F-L-O-W Apps
—
Applications that point a person in
BS towards
@F-L-O-W, I believe
I have to explain that it is important to understand, or
rather know that
BS can create
@F-L-O-W as well.
Here’s the easiest way I know how
to give you an idea of how Apps are Flawless and can generate
@F-L-O-W:
It would be easier if that were not
the case, but the reason that
BS is so entraining is that it
does work unconsciously to align us with our needs and the
behaviors that result. Tobacco, without a doubt is an
exemplar.
How cool is it to smoke? Well, until we begin to see
people dying all around us… How did all those actors get
those deep sexy voices, and why is my voice whimpy… and the
structure shifted… It was cool to smoke.
- Tobacco kills up to half of its users.
- Tobacco kills nearly six million people each year, of whom more than 5 million are users and ex users and more than 600 000 are nonsmokers exposed to second-hand smoke. Unless urgent action is taken, the annual death toll could rise to more than eight million by 2030.
- Nearly 80% of the world’s one billion smokers live in low- and middle-income countries.
- Consumption of tobacco products is increasing globally, though it is decreasing in some high-income and upper middle-income countries.
Even though BS who runs this gambit on us and everyone who smokes, it does put us in an @F-L-O-W-like state, and that is the key, it is @F-L-O-W-like and maybe NOW, it’s time to define what @F-L-O-W really is… but I’ll say that for another TPOV.
@F-L-O-W Apps are different than the BS App or BSOS [Blank Slate Operating System], and it’s because they produce @F-L-O-W, real @F-L-O-W, which you can read about more in depth in the @F-L-O-W TPOV.
@F-L-O-W Apps produce @F-L-O-W.
That is the secret to creating the EES, required to leap from the BSOS to @F-L-O-W.
The applications environment now has gone virtually mobile. When is the last time you saw an APP to quit smoking… for those of you reading this still affilicted, try this: http://www.cigrx.com/products.html.
There is an amazing, yet wholly unknown to most ingredient contained in the formula that is beginning to show great promise against Inflammaging. People ask me when they see me use it, if I am trying to quit smoking… and I tell them I have just started… "smokin"
Actually, I did run across some "quit smoking apps" http://www.cultofmac.com/75269/best-apps-to-help-you-quit-smoking-new-years-resolutions/ but they all failed the test for @F-L-O-W Apps because they didn’t include the study of one’s self in the process.
I applaud them and as BS Apps, they are moving in the right direction, but almost always you have to find the way to get to what people really want, before you tell them how to stop something that has them…
2) it has to be EES (efficient, effective and sustainable)
3) whether it’s mobile or not, is not the question, whether it’s attached to deep meaning for something for powerful and leveraging is.
But his son, of 21 years is not, and so I created an @F-L-O-W App. This boy is married, has a daughter he cares very much about, but has a step family as well, who basically raised him.
This step family is extremely important to him, yet he doesn’t earn enough money to meet his own obligations a lot of the time, not alone those of his step family. Two years ago when he started driving for me, or should I say pedaling… I asked him if he would quit smoking if I gave him money each month for his step family.
Two years later, he is smokefree, and earns 1000 pesos ($22), a fifth of his salary as a bonus for not smoking, which he supports his step family with. Now, while this is extremely simple, it’s a good idea of how the "App" meets the test of @F-L-O-W in so many ways.
We’re going to be playing with Mobile Apps in the future, if you want to play along, join us.
