There is a field…
“Beyond Right Doing and Wrong Doing, there is a field… and I will meet you there.” – Rumi
I spent some time in Istanbul a few years ago, when things were quieter and seemed happier in Turkey. I sought out and found the “whirling dervish” and watching their meditative dance and it’s still a wonder to imagine how much training it takes to remain in “character” ― in the grasp of earthly momentum and spiritual pursuit ― and keep from just falling down on the ground!
I liken it to learning adult development and applying it on the fly. It’s a delicate balance that maybe only a few really master to keep spinning without falling down.
Without regressing too far into my own journey, I found out that you must help yourself before you can really help others, and that’s where DYNAMIC INQUIRY actually begins.
While 75 Stanford Business Council Leaders said “self-awareness” was the number one thing leaders need to have… they didn’t tell you how to get it!
The real kick in the gut is that more than likely, the amount of self-awareness we will ever have is probably wired into our genetics, which means in all likelihood, you can’t learn much more than you can!
Kind of stubs your proverbial “blank slate” BS toe to realize that we can’t be anything we want to be… but rather we have limits and boundaries that guide and shape our lives.
When you grok this idea, you don’t run around saying “woe is me”… you seek the sweet spots that are present and often obscured by the BS nature of our modern world of markets and consumption.
So where are these “sweet spots?”
How do we hear them?
Well, I won’t say I told you so, but I did.
Understanding where people are… who they are, and what’s next is where those “sweet spots” are often obscured from view… sometimes we call them blind spots.
How do you reveal blind spots and then evaluate whether or not there is a sweet spot there?
Through DYNAMIC INQUIRY.
If you registered for our free info, I’ll walk you through the 6Ps of DYNAMIC INQUIRY, which will IMMEDIATELY change the way you listen and hear meaning-making in yourself and others.
